Microsoft Shuts Down Servers for Ascend: Hand of Kul on Xbox 360

Ascend: Hand of Kul proved to be very well received on the Xbox 360 with over 4 million downloads and 2.3 million players world-wide.  Despite its success, MSFT pulled the game off the XBLA service in August and now, on November 18th, 2014, Microsoft will be shutting down the XBOX 360 servers for the game.

We have had great adventures.  Within the past year, we have slayed trolls, eaten humans, and converted altars all in honor of the Void, Light and Dark! We are deeply saddened by Microsoft’s decision to pull the game off the service and discontinue support. We understand the impact this has on our community which is why we have chosen to continue to make Ascend available on Steam.

As a token of our appreciation we are awarding all new and existing players on Steam 50,000 Souls until end of November.

Happy slaying!
