Signal Studios was formed in 2007 by Paul Knutzen, Max Wagner, and D.R. Albright. Together, Signal's founders have over 25 years of industry experience and are credited on over 20 software titles while working at companies such as EA, THQ, and Snowblind Studios. Their experience is well balanced between the major disciplines required to manage the production of successful games.
Design:
Paul Knutzen has been designing games and managing design teams in the industry for over 14 years. Paul has worked as a Lead Designer with several game development studios including Snowblind Studios, Amaze Entertainment, Cavedog Entertainment, and Lobotomy Software. Paul is credited on seven shipped game titles since 1995, including Lead Design on the critically acclaimed Champions of Norrath.
Technical:
As Lead Engine Architect, Max Wagner was responsible for all aspects of the development of Snowblind Studios' next generation multi platform game engine, S2. Max was the 2005 valedictorian at the DigiPen Institute of Technology and graduated magna cum laude from New York University in 2001 with degrees in English Literature, French Literature, and a minor in Creative Writing.
Art:
D.R. Albright has worked as a creative manager and artist at a variety of top game companies such as Snowblind Studios, Electronic Arts, THQ, Inc., and Amaze Entertainment. Since 1999, D.R. has been credited on 9 games with contributions to 15 others including the top selling franchises Medal of Honor, SOCOM, and Need for Speed.
