Soul Income - How it should be

    Hello to you all.

i am here to give you guys reasons for why the soul income should stay like it was on patch 6

n1 - players that didnt played before or started playing were amazed and would gain a certain interest about obtaining more and loggin in every day , making the player basis higher .

n2 - ppl would't play because it was an obligation to farm , but because they want more , and because its a fun game ( not because they need souls , wich could lead to ppl thinking '' hey its a boring game because you have to farm alot , and are always doing the same thing )

n3 - you would have enough souls to upgrade yourself every day , making players play alot of hours straight because they wanna get to the next lvl

n4 - souls werent a big problem in mid / high levels making you enjoy the game more

    ----------------------------

now ... i understand the game dev's need to get Money from somewhere and thats why i recomend these alternatives

    n1 - cosmetic items ( x skin for weapon , y skin for armor etc ... etc ... )

n2 - create na e-sports scene ( like the one in games like WoW , LoL , Smite , Dota2 and many outhers ) this game has potencial to grow has an e-sport since it has PvP ( or will have ) it requires skill , its amusing to watch , and its pretty damn interesting , it would be like watching combats on the great Arena of rome ) that would generate Money thx to all the publicity from all the gaming gear companies

n3 - add unique '' premium '' boosts ( since this could lead to unbalance these boosts should be upgrades of boosts alredy avaiable and boosts that dont bring HUGE adventages and of course should only work for PvE , for exemple

    - triple / quadra xp boost

    - permanent durability ( you click on the boost select a piece of gear and you wont have to repair it anymore wich is very interesting for PvP players since theyre gear will break alot and its boring to repair )

n4 - the ability to players sell theyre equips for real Money ( an auctioneer )
but how would it work ?? here is the explanation

    Auctioner

    - Player X has a really good sword , he wants to sell it to another players and win real Money for it
( he has 5 dollars on steam and wants to get 10 )

he goes to the auctioneer and inputs the amount of Money he wants to get from the sale, lets say 5 dollars .

signal studios will get 25 % ( this number is na exemple but IMO its a good percentage ) of the sale

------------------ so in outher words -------------------

the player inputs what he wants to get, ( 5 dollars ) and the game wants to give 25 % of that to signal studios , so the game will add to the price of the sword ( wich is the item the player is selling ) 25 % of its value

    100 % -----» 5,00 dollars
    125 % -----» 6.25 dollars

in the auctioner the item will be sould for 6.25 dollars , gaining the player the amount he wanted , 5 dollars and signal studios gaining 1.25 dollars

    ------------------------------

i hope this helps, if any dev or mod reads this plz reply because i wanna know if its in fact possible and remenber , that unbalancing , and greed doesnt lead to success , player base and a good game does, because if i see a good game , i wont mind spending a few bucks on it

    1. Personally i thought the soul income was way too high with those changes, they needed to be tweaked down, and with the many changes they have coming, and the master plan they have in the works, along with upgrades to progression zones, im pretty sure that things will keep changing and things will be added that will increase gameplay value.
    2. Only for now, they have lots to add to the game, and has alot of potential in all directions, along with tweaking along the way, plus it's free, so people can always come back later with whatever expansion/content is added.
    3. Progression is something else, unless you are struggling with gear and ugprades in your first play through, after that it gets easier, the only thing that needs addressing is the progression in ways of things to do, and more content.
    4. They aren't, especially with Co-op and that other zone being added "soon", there are people like myself with Millions of Souls, and we haven't spent a single cent on the game.
Im personally waiting for a costume system or transmog system with some new outfits n stuff, then ill be sinking some real money into the game.

    • I hope so.
    • I would love to see some e-sport content added to this game, with the correct concepts i think it would be awesome.
    • There are some premium boosts, the weekly buffs, but they are all bought with Souls.
    • Not sure about the exp boosts, since there are other ways of gaining more exp already.
    • No point having permanent durability options, seems the DEVs are putting in alot of effort to balance durability of items aswell as the Forge, making permanent durability invulnerability redundant.

Yeah it was nice to see, but i had my doubts that it was going to stay that way.

I didn't even need to farm for souls anymore with that change, i only needed to farm for exp.
So now i feel its slightly more balanced.

Plus they are talking about removing the Ascending limit.. so things still might change.

I thought that at first too. I was making 108,000 souls a day from income (the maximum IIRC).

But then you take into the account the exhorbatent cost of gear and spell upgrades at higher levels... and, well, it seemed to balance out.

But I can only speak from the perspective of a more casual player. I'm not sure what kind of tricks the "elite" players use to rack up souls. Given the rate of soul income and mindblowingly fast level progression that some obtain, I imagine my straightforward methods of play are non-optimal.

The new limit of 40,000 is reasonable. Any lower would be too much of a nerf though.

Its all is interesting I am about to Ascend to 50 to buy 5 pieces of epic 53-54 will be around 400,000 souls I have about 250,000+ so If i grid and combo out I probably can make it before lvl 51 it's all planing the 1st 5 levels I upgraded spells I wasted a few souls on cursing Light and Dark cause I like to give em hell but my Calcs where just about right to upgrade 4 levels up to Epic and 4 pillars . It does suck for the income now I have 102 Shrines/Altars is just a time thing. I agree with what Crautor said I play WoW and LoL and always buy skins and pets etc Vanity stuff. People like geeking out on games and like pimping rare things the key is RARE or Unique nobody wants the same stuff as everyone else and if you can afford to give us some goodies

The elite simply get friends to curse the crap out of them at ring of bones.. that's it.

I tested it with 3 curses yesterday while testing the ninja nerf reported.
And i was able to make 400k souls per hour as a minimum and Transcend once.

Mostly 3+ friends and 3 curses each for each of them, you will be able to gain large exp and souls, making the daily rewards redundant and the hourly reward mediocre, when you can gain that in 30 seconds.

    About the last posts :
I made a thread about souls stuff. Basically with only like 3 curses you can have 10 000 guaranteed souls / minute, 600 000 / hour. Up to 1 200 000 souls / hour with optimized conditions, or even better but i just take an easy technique not too much boring and random.

About souls rewarded with your number of dominion sites owned, while it was maybe too many for "casuals" before, it was not many for core players at all. A nice bonus still. Maybe it's more balanced now i dunno. I've still some problems to be able to play the game again (curses disappearing too fast, loading too long).

my current problem is that i really love the game , but since the scalling was tunned down ... i feel like i got a promotion with a high salary and then i got demoted and they are cutting on my pay check ...

the patch 6 soul income was fine in my opinion because it made low level players stay , to get to the higher levels , and it made them at higher levels play even more .

it was so addictive ... a friend of mine played 3 days strait 9 hours a day or more ... untill this patch ... he stopped playing because he was used to that pace of gameplay progression , and every '' elite '' player here knows that those 100k werent that much ... but at low level players those 100k were enought to make ppl play 9 hours strait or more

    it was simply briliant

you would feel your caracter progressing and becoming stronguer at a fast pace, making you want to see what is '' the next level of your caos evolution ''

    now that doesnt happen ...

so thats why i wrote this post ... because this game can attract alot more players with patch 6 soul income and since i understand the devs need Money i gave them those options ... and in my opinion they are all much more profitable then theyre current way of making Money

plz give your opinion on the '' Money making '' alternatives i proposed
