    Lightbulb Surprise update!

We updated the game today! The patch will go live at 4pm PST today.

    Update Notes:
    • Combo multiplier increased by 25%
    • Armor durability increased by 20%
    • Trying to purchase Souls with the Steam Overlay disabled will no longer crash the game. A new message will now prompt the player to turn the overlay back on.
    • F’Taga’s health reduced by 30%
    • Issue with duplicate player ID’s fixed
    • Issue with French clients not properly recognizing Soul purchases fixed

You may need to close fully out of Ascend: Hand of Kul in order to see this update.

Thanks everyone! Keep that feedback coming

I think it´s a good Idea to increase the combo multiplier and the durability of armor. This will lower the expensive repair costs.

But I´m sad too beause of the lower health of F´Taga. He was one of the challenges I liked the most in the game, he won´t be much easier now

The first time i fought against him it was a hard battle and I died about 3 times I think. But i was really proud of me after i finally killed him.

I hope you keep going with these Updates and in some weeks we can maybe see the Co-Op mode ingame.

    Greetings Dualstrike

The combo up isn't a big deal. The main problem imo is the low base amount of souls your earn on mobs. Plus the fact while you're leveling up, you still earn the same amount of souls vs the huge amount of souls you need in the late levels.

I'll try to do a better review about it in the thread related i did. Globally i think playing the game casually may be okay. But if you want to fully upgrade your spells, upgrade your stuff a little, there's "absolutely" / near to no chance for you to do it without a Ring of Bones farming. And that's a big problem imo. I'd love to do some dungeons, but it's worthless.

Nice for the durability increase btw. Did you do it on the weapon too ? Because what i repaired the most was the weapon back in the days where i wasn't under weeklong gear protec after Ring of Bones farm. Before, i never thought i could afford such a high-priced buff (justified considering his effect).

I agree that the combo isn't the issue, it's the ability to accurately hit lately, there seems to be a reduction in collision recognition between smaller weapons and enemies, which we use the smaller weapons for higher combos to begin with if all they are gonna do is miss half the time the become a useless mechanic in the game as we mainly focus on two hand weapons for ogre's and AI players

if anything scale the miss to hit ratio on weapons by weapon grade making them more efficient the higher grade and level they are, as it becomes more important as we increase in level to earn more souls at levels and repair costs increase on weapons the higher grade they get regardless that they degrade slower the coralation still makes repairs cost more at the benefit of repairing less often.

to follow up on my issue with hit misses, after watching my attacks with larger and smaller weapons I have now assessed that it is a verticle collision issue, we have to golf for the smaller mobs to hit them, when we heave the heavier weapons we seem to dig down and hit them more, whereas when we have the smaller faster weapons we don't swing very low and end up spending a lot of time passing right over top of them, or so it appears.

even on bigger enemys light attacks don't hit the most time (depending on weapon) looks like there is a big problem with enemy hitboxes
