Looking to the future
first of all, thank you Signal Studios, i bought toy soldiers a year ago on Xbox and picked it up again on PC and hope to buy the cold war when/if its available on PC. Toy soldiers is a great game and i look forward to seeing what you guys are planning next.
Speaking of which i had some ideas, well im sure you've probably already thought of them and i don't know if this is the right place to post them but it would be awesome to see some more scenarios in the future of the Toy Soldiers franchise.
There's all sorts of different time periods in which the player could command an army of toy solders, for example:
Toy Soldiers: The Middle-ages. you could have foot soldiers and cavalry but instead of turrets you could have arrow cart and trebuchets and many other medieval style weaponry. instead of randomly fighting the game could take place in the crusade where you can play as either British soldiers or the Saracens.
Toy Soldiers: The Revolution. Taking place in America in the late 1700s featuring all sorts of soldiers aswell as native americans (perhaps?), but larger weapons could include cannons.
Toy Soldiers: The Armada. A naval based version where you can place different boats but the game could also feature some ground based warfare as well to explore the time period and the game could even feature some of Leonardo Da'Vincis inventions (even though he wasn't around in that era)
Toy Soldiers: Greek Mythology. Whenever i think of ancient Greece i think of the many Gods and there could be a game where instead of using machine guns and missiles the player could place statues of Greek gods such as Zeus or Mars. and the big bosses could include Medusa and Hydras.
Toy Soldiers: Winds of the North. Taking place in viking periods the player could protect their village against hordes of vikings (dont now about the big weapons though)
Toy Soldiers: Feudal Japan. Could explore the amazing environment of the area a swell as ingenious weapons.
Toy Soldiers: Zulu. Similar to the film but taking place in different areas and with a variety of weapons (on both sides).
Toy Soldiers: Rome. Im not sure when this could be set but it would be fun to see a game featuring warfare similar to in the film "300" or you could play as the Anglo Saxons protecting your world against the Romans.
Toy Soldiers: Galactic warfare: Similar to the invasion DLC the game could be like a future toy soldiers with lasers and hovercrafts.
Toy Soldiers: B.C: a bit more of a joke one but this could feature cave men and Dinosaurs in which cavemen ride in on raptors and you can fly pterodactyls, the game could also feature inventions similar to those seen in "The Flintstones" as the turrets.
Like I said, im sure you've probably thought of these but i felt like writing this anyway just to show you that people DO want it to happen, whatever happens i look forward to see what you do next.

I would personally ask for a WW2 Toy soldiers, because I feel that WW2 fits the genre of toy soldiers, Men storming up beaches, whilst you shoot down at them, Russians charging through the red square of Stalingrad. Although I must admit, Germany charging at the defensive line at kursk, Although I have to admit an American civil war Toy soldiers would be amazing

The great thing about the Toy Soldiers franchise is that it is very versitile, and there are a lot of settings/themes that would work well with it. As mentioned above there's a host of classical military settings, the B.C. setting, and in the past zombies have been suggested. All would work well within the Toy Soldiers framework, and would be a lot of fun. The ideas listed in this post are great, and we'll keep them in mind as we move forward. Feel free to throw any other ideas you may have out there, including ideas for wave units and turrets.

also, after playing the invasion dlc i thought it could be cool if there was some kind of toy war between a brother and sister. ive interpreted the game as a boy playing with his toy set, but what if his sister also wante to play. they could go to battle with the boy using classic toy soldiers (maybe things from different eras) and the girl could charge in with barbie dolls and whatever other toys girls play with (dont make that dirty ;D )

All i can say about toy soldiers is..... you keep making them and ill keep buying them! Signal studios have made a great game here which deserves heeps more credit then it currently gets. It winds me up when you look at top 20 arcade games an see toy soldiers looming around the middle of the table! Its the number one game in my eyes and im gooing to continue persuading all my friends to purchase the game.
Great work all you guys at Signal Studios
Just one more thing.... if anyone here is from signal studios would you give us a little hint as to wether there is plans to make a new toy soldiers or anymore expansion packs!
